Joce Mienniel, former flutist of the National Jazz Orchestra (NJO), heads an exciting quartet whose style falls in between the futuristic Ennio Moricone, Robert Wyatt and his contrasting light and shade, and the outlandish Steve Reich. The TILT quartet echoes the rage and noise of the contemporary metropolis. With his extensive range of influences and activities, Joce Mienniel is undoubtedly an exceptional musician. Jazz and improvised music, pop, rock, French song, world music, classical music, as well as compositions for the small and the big screen: Joce Mienniel is a much sought-after and esteemed chameleon.

Joce is an unique flutist who has been bringing his instrument into uncharted territories for several years now, exploring cinematic ways as well as pure and saturated aesthetics. A total immersion into a magnetic sound universe, “TILT” is his last project : an hypnotic and electrifying record where Joce Mienniel shares the emotion of his inner world. TILT, Joce Mienniel’s new band, is a an ideal playground, unexpected and very personal, which reveals his inner imaginary, giving freedom to an expressive sensuality. If there had to be just one colour in this music, it would be deep and intense night blue. With their unique paths and musical influences, the four musicians draw on inspirations such as progressive rock, jazz, trip-hop, while remaining driven by one and only goal: immersion in sound experimentations.
