6月26日，葡萄牙驻广州总领事馆正式开馆，这是葡萄牙在中国大陆设立的第三家总领事馆（另外两个分别位于北京和上海）。
On June 26, the Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou officially opened. This is the third consulate of Portugal established in mainland China (the other two are located in Beijing and Shanghai).
葡萄牙驻广州总领事馆领区范围包括广东省，海南省，湖南省，福建省及广西壮族自治区。
The Consulate General in Guangzhou has jurisdiction over the Provinces of Guangdong, Hainan, Hunan, Fujian and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
首任葡萄牙驻广州总领事安德烈·索布拉尔·科尔代罗先生提到，“我们希望建立一个现代化、高效和有活力的总领事馆，并且力图促进未来的投资与发展，如葡萄牙在海外的投资，中国在葡萄牙的投资，葡萄牙与中国尤其是与华南地区在政治、经济和文化关系方面的发展，以及与葡萄牙驻华大使馆，葡萄牙驻澳门、上海总领事馆在职务方面的发展。”
The Consul General, Dr. André Sobral Cordeiro addressed during the opening speech, “We want a modern, efficient, dynamic Consulate-general that seeks to encourage a bet in the future, Portuguese investment abroad, Chinese investment in Portugal, the development of the political, economic and cultural relations of Portugal with China, in particular with southern China, in strict respect for the functions committed to the Embassy of Portugal in Beijing and the Consulates-General in Shanghai and Macao.”

根据5月22日第187/2013号财政部命令，财政部部长授权葡萄牙驻广州总领事馆公开招聘高级助理，根据5月8日第3/2013号监管法令，月薪为1413.12 欧元。有意者请于此公告发布10个工作日内完成申请，录用试用期为180天。
According to the Ministry of Finance, Order No.187/2013 of May 22, the Minister of Finance authorized the Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou to openly recruit senior assistant staff. According to the Decree No.3/2013 of May 8, the monthly salary is 1,413.12 euros. Interested parties please complete the application within 10 working days after the announcement, and the trial period is 180 days.
