July 22, 2017 – Zhuhai, China —Huajin Securities WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai (WETZ) is pleased to announce the beginning of the 100 days countdown to the third edition of this major sporting event in Zhuhai, China.Huafa Group, the host of WTA, held a series of activities to celebrate the 100 days countdown all over Zhuhai, including in the Henqin Tennis Center. Former WTA World No.1 Jelena Jankovic and Chinese tennis stars Duan Yingying and Ji Chunmei joined in the celebration. The WTA stars met with Zhuhai citizens and witnessed programs that showcase the rapid growth of grassroots tennis in the city. On the morning of July 22nd, tennis stars Helena Hankovic, DuanYingying and Ji Chunmei, the coach He Dongbo and others were divided into two groups and went to six communty’ courts to to play an interesting round of doubles with the citizens successively.They also posed the shape of “100” together. 今年5月，珠海WTA超级精英赛已宣布将继续牵手国际女子网坛传奇、网坛金满贯得主格拉芙女士担任赛事全球形象大使，为赛事的品质呈现及城市推广提供助力，格拉芙也将再度亲临珠海，与中国球迷再续前缘。
In May of this year,Zhuhai WTA Elite Trophy has announced that Stefanie Graf – winner of 107 WTA singles titles including 22 Grand Slam singles titles, will be the global ambassador of the WTA Elite Trophyin 2017 And will continue to help promote the event and the city. Also, Miss Graf will greet the elite players of the WTA and fans from all over the world in November at the Hengqin Tennis Center, Zhuhai.
赛事票务销售工作也自5月底全面展开。在延续“亲民票价”的基础上，今年的赛票服务全面升级，不仅推出多种赛票优惠活动，更通过灵活多样的门票组合和创意产品为企业机构提供个性化、定制化的增值服务。
Event tickets have been on sale since the end of May. The prices are set at an especially fan-friendly level as usual and the ticket service has been upgraded comprehensively. WTA not only has discounts for the tickets, but also has multiple ticket combinations and creative products for enterprise and organisation with personalized and customized value-added service.
球童选拔、志愿者招募等各项筹备工作也有条不紊地开展。今年的球童选拔于6月3日拉开序幕，历时一个半月，深入八城市（珠海、中山、江门、广州、澳门、深圳、台北及香港），吸引了640名球童报名。经过层层选拔，其中42人脱颖而出，获得了参加八月中旬球童训练营培训的宝贵资格。最终将选拔出30名佼佼者加入2017珠海WTA超级精英赛的球童服务队伍。本届赛事的志愿者招募则走进暨南大学、中山大学、北京师范大学珠海分校、北京理工大学珠海学院、广东科学技术职业学院及珠海城市职业技术学院共六所高校，已完成50名A类志愿者的招募，更多B类志愿者的招募工作仍在紧密进行中。
Caddie selection and volunteer recruitment are also on the agenda. Caddie selection was started on June 3rd. It took one and a half months and attracted 640 caddies from eight cities (Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Guangzhou, Macau, Shenzhen, Taibei and Hongkong). Eventually 42 people were selected and received the valuable training opportunity in the middle of August. Lastly, 30 excellent Caddies will be selected into 2017 Zhuhai WTA Elite Trophy Caddie Service Team.
Volunteer recruitments were held in Jinan Unviersity, Sun Yat-Sen University, Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai, Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology and Zhuhai City Polytechnic. Currently 50 A-type volunteers have been selected and more B-type volunteer recruitment is in progress.

After two successful editions of the event, the WTA Elite Trophy has developed into the most influential sports event in the Southern China region. Huajin Securities 2017 WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai will be held in Hengqin Tennis Center from October 31st to November 5th. The prize money has been raised to USD 2.28 million. Singles players with a WTA ranking of No.9-19and one wild card will join six doubles teams to compete in a round robin format tournament.
