Written and directed by David Lescot in 2012, The Ponzi Scheme is a play that follows the famous financial scam devised by Charles Ponzi, an Italian immigrant to Boston in the early 20th century. His story, which symbolises the illusions conjured by the world of finance, describes the adventures and determination of a man who guaranteed his investors that they would double their money in 45 days.
