The 2017 edition of Canton Plage – the French National Day, organized thanks to the intense cooperation between the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCIFC), the Guangzhou Nikko hotel and with the support of the General Consulate of France in Canton, had been successfully held on Friday, July 14th 2017, from 7:00pm till late in the night thanks to the wonderful cocktails made by the restaurant La Médina.
The French and Chinese communities had gathered around the splendid pool and garden of the five-star hotel and celebrated the Bastille Day while discovering the French culture. Many activities had been programmed during this tropical night to entertain and divert over 550 guests, who were offered swimsuits from Decathlon in the gift-bags made by FFG.
A very complete open-bar with Red Pony French wines, San Miguel beers and spirits from Pernod Ricard had been set up to ensure this dynamic and exciting party. The BBQ, French/Western and Asian food had been savored, such as crêpes made by La Crêperie Maggy, desserts from Pastry Schiel and ice creams served by the famous Maison Délice and Amorosa to satisfy everyone’s taste!
Then, as previous years, some lucky ones had been chosen randomly and gotten amazing gifts offered by the generous partners of Canton Plage during the lucky draw such as Air France, Alliance Française, Crowne Plaza, Deron Dental Clinic, Elisabeth Hospital, GL watches, Nespresso, Sofitel Guangzhou, and Stanley Wines.
Canton Plage 2017 had also been the perfect place for many companies willing to expand their activities. By the garden of the hotel, many enterprises, international firms and SMEs, had the opportunity to represent their industry and exchange efficiently. Twenty two corporate tables had been reserved to enable invitees to spend the evening in a perfect atmosphere for business interactions and connections.

This year, the French national hymn “La Marseillaise” had been sung during the evening, with the blue, white and red French flag fluttering in the air, making this feast French and unforgettable!
