According to a recent news release, Hilton forged a two-year cooperation with Xiamen Marathon, providing Hilton Honors members direct access to Xiamen Marathon with specially created runner packages and an exceptional series of event-related exclusive benefits.

As the only official hospitality partner, Hilton built the “Hilton Running Club” composed of 40 Hilton Team Members, Chinese and foreign Hilton Honors members and special guests to witness and attend the 2019 Xiamen Marathon. The Hilton Running Club held a warm-up gathering, “Hilton Running Club Opens in Xiamen, Getting a Hilton Head Start”, at Joyze Hotel Xiamen, Curio Collection by Hilton one day before the competition. Participating guests tasted energy shot meals customized for runners. Three Hilton Honors-invited Marathon masters – Yu Xingbo, National Sports Master; Li Zicheng, “The Fastest Chinese Marathon Runner”; Jiao Anjing, “The Dream Girl in the Running Community” – shared their Marathon running experience, training tips and learnings with runners on the spot, including pre-event preparation, skills in the event and post-event recovery. These four Hilton hotels, which offered Xiamen Marathon runner packages, opened breakfast earlier on the competition day, allowing runners to conveniently take away meals, and also offered “Hilton Express for Xiamen Marathon” that transport runners to places nearby the start point. In addition, cheering squads composed of more than one hundred Team Members of six Hilton’s hotels already open in Xiamen gathered and cheered at Hilton Cheering Booths along the course, and delivered drink and energy shots. After the competition finished, the Hilton Brand Showroom at the finish point early prepared tea for participations, and offered a special ice tank and professional coaches for runners to relax muscles, reduce muscle soreness and recover as fast as possible.
