Drawing inspiration from the timeless Hollywood classic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), this upgrade was conceptualized by the leading interior and architectural design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), giving full expression to the Pearl Lounge’s sense of bespoke ultra-luxury with the interior’s breathtaking aesthetics and elegant décor. The new Pearl Lounge utilizes aquamarine and beige as its primary colors, combined with exemplary craftsmanship and exquisite details, evoking the sense of refined elegance emanating from a pearl, and bringing the interior’s romantic ambience to life.
The bespoke sofas and dining chairs are crafted from high-gloss Black Red Mahogany, covered with soft leather and light-colored fabrics, paired with light gray woven feather pillows. The dining and display tables are made of Italian Calacatta marble, a perfect complement to the jacquard Axminister carpet. The modern yet simple floor-to-ceiling windows allows the dining area to be infused with bright natural light while a pair of aqua crystal chandelier adds delightful touches of lavish sophistication.
Using deeply toned mahogany as its theme, the significance of the newly designed pastry display cabinet is elevated to the forefront, to captivate your imagination and your senses. Its delicate golden lines and the exquisite antique mirror evoke the nostalgic luxury of a bygone era. Under the enchanting radiance of the Champagne Gold Colour Crystal chandelier, the cabinets are decorated with seasonal cakes and signature desserts for the guests to choose from. Inspired by the newly elevated Pearl Lounge, Mr. Calvin Sia, the Executive Pastry Chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou, has put together a unique pearl-themed afternoon tea for our guests’ enjoyment. Exuding the luster emanating from a mother-of-pearl, the newly crafted afternoon tea stand holds an exquisite mirror tray, decorated with delicate pearls dotted around the sweet and savory delicacies, echoing the theme of the Pearl Lounge. Among the glorious variety of sweet delights, the Vanilla Cassis Apple Cake captivates your visual senses. While the vanilla mousse contains black currants and apple filling, delicate pink beads are enveloped by shell-shaped white chocolate, resembling a pearl mussel on a white reef. “Hidden” within the Caramel Profiterole are “beads” waiting to surprise you, while the decadence of the chocolate caramel glaze is artfully balanced by its pearly smooth and shiny texture, delighting guests with the raspberry filling’s sour yet tantalizing delicious taste. The savory flavors are equally enticing, with the pearl-shaped fatty liver and crystal coffee panna cotta tantalizing your taste buds, and the pan-fried cod fillet infusing you with the refreshing flavors from the ocean.
