On 6th November, Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou organised a concert in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and Italy in Guangzhou. Ms. Lucia Pasqualini, Consual General of Italy in Guangzhou delivered a speech and shared her vision on a long lasting relations between China and Italy.
Year 2020 marks the 50th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and China. On 6th November, 1970, after a long negotiation, the representatives of China and Italy signed the joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in Paris. A few months later, in February 1971, the appointment of the first Ambassadors and their settlement in their respective Embassies opened a new chapter in the history of relations between the two countries.
To commemorate the special day, Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou organized a concert of famous Italian and Chinese arias sung by great local professionals who have been trained in Italy, including tenor Yu Wenjie, tenor Mario ZhangXiqiu, mezzo soprano Lan Tingting, pianist Zhang Ruojin and Barbacini Opera Studio.
At the meantime in Rome, an online concert is planned by the Accademia di Santa Cecilia to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. A dialogue between the best artistic realities of the two countries with piano performances, violin concert, opera, theatre, Beijing opera and ballet show. Broadcasted on CCTV.com from 7pm on 6th November, and later on the same day available on 30 other platforms including Tiktok, Toutiao, Sohu.
