第43届香港国际电影节于今晚在香港会议展览中心举行开幕典礼，由好莱坞知名动作导演雷尼哈林执导、张家辉及任贤齐领衔主演的《沉默的证人》世界首映作为开幕电影，为一连15天的电影节揭开序幕。
The 43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF43) kicks off tonight with the world premiere of Renny HARLIN’s Chinese language crime thriller Bodies at Rest at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
开幕典礼的嘉宾包括商务及经济发展局副局长陈百里、《沉默的证人》导演雷尼哈林、演员张家辉、任贤齐、陈家乐、郭晋安、吴卓羲、香港国际电影节大使郭富城、青年大使余香凝及游学修。来自世界各地的导演和演员包括《烧失乐园》南韩大师李沧东、《斩》导演冢本晋也、《过春天》导演白雪等亦出席支持，一同预祝本届电影节顺利举行。
Joining HARLAN and his main cast of Nick CHEUNG, Richie JEN, Carlos CHAN, Roger KWOK, and Ron NG at a glittering opening ceremony for the 15-day, 230-film cinematic extravaganza, were Bernard CHAN, the Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, HKIFF Ambassador Aaron KWOK, and Youth Ambassadors Jennifer YU and Neo YAU. There was also a strong presence of filmmakers from around the region, including Korean maestro LEE Chang-dong of the internationally acclaimed Burning, TSUKAMOTO Shinya, the director of Killing, and young Chinese director BAI Xue of The Crossing.
香港国际电影节协会主席王英伟博士致辞时表示：“香港国际电影节是电影文化交流的年度盛事，一如以往今届继续大受观众欢迎，截至目前止，满座场次超过75场。有幸得到各方支持，我们邀请到一众本地及国际著名电影人云集电影节，为同业及影迷提供分享交流的宝贵机会。”王主席表示今届电影节节目丰富，除了有华语影坛分量十足的洪金宝成为焦点影人外，还有三位享誉国际的大师，亲临香港举行大师班，包括两夺奥斯卡最佳外语片殊荣的伊朗大师阿斯加法哈迪、李沧东及导与演双栖的姜文，将带同他们的杰作，与观众分享创作经验。
Dr. Wilfred WONG, Chairman of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS), described the Hong Kong International Film Festival as one of the most anticipated cultural events in the region in his welcome speech. “As always, HKIFF43 receives tremendous support from film fans in Hong Kong, with as many as 75 screenings already sold out as of today,” enthused Dr. WONG. “We have also managed to bring together many distinguished filmmakers from around the world to share their visions and insights with local audience and their peers in the film industry.” WONG said he was excited by this year’s programme which includes a retrospective on the career of the legendary action master Sammo HUNG, this year’s Filmmaker in Focus, as well as three master classes by two-time Oscar-winning director Asghar FARHADI, LEE Chang-dong and celebrated actor-director JIANG Wen.
开幕电影《沉默的证人》，将好莱坞电影的缜密铺排及精准节奏，与港产警匪片的矫捷灵动巧妙焊接，拼合成一场惊险紧张的亡命激斗。片中饰演法医的张家辉，被任贤齐饰演的悍匪带领手下突袭殓房劫尸，将所有人迫入绝境，在法医的冷静机智下，凶徒的真面目逐步揭开。
The Opening Film Bodies at Rest kicks off in an unusual setting of a morgue, where a forensic expert (played by Nick CHEUNG) and his assistant are accosted by a masked intruder (played by Richie JEN) and his gang, who demand access to a body containing evidence to a crime. Hollywood action director Renny HARLIN skillfully reconstructs his decathlon of violence, intensity of suspense and mind-blowing action sequences of Die Hard 2 (1990) into the Hong Kong genre of crime thriller with an explosive twist.
