There is no surprise that you hear about something new happening in the vibrant city of Guangzhou every day, especially about the recent high-end lifestyle mall K11 Guangzhou. However, this new arrival – Mango Tree – a brand new Thai restaurant at K11 Guangzhou has brought Thai food to a new level, something more to the already amazing food that it offers: an exotic getaway! The designer created the rainforest and island themed restaurant with a contemporary approach, skillfully adopted wood material, tailor-made wallpaper and lighting design to create the relaxing and exotic ambience of a treehouse of an exotic gateway experience.
Upon arrival at Mango Tree, guests would be attracted by the rotating partitions at the two sides of the entrance. The front and back of the partitions are adorned with the prints of tropical plants and the natural colour of the wood veneering respectively, creating a beautiful and exotic rainforest ambience upon entering the space.
Stepping into the restaurant is the bright and spacious main dining room which is designed as a semi-open area. You will be mesmerized by a myriad of sparkling lights on the ceiling like twinkling stars in the starry sky. Then comes the feature wall decorated with a large rainforest painting by a famous artist, which enhances the space with liveliness. The ceiling lights shine on the rattan chairs and wood-patterned tables, bringing guests a fascinating dining experience as if they are seated under the starry sky on a tropical island enjoying their moment.
Bar area sits at the right side of dining room with a taupe wood veneered wall to complement with the grey bar counter and sophisticated leather bar stools, where guests are seated to appreciate the scenic night view by the floor-to-ceiling window in a space of simplicity and refinement.
Passing through the bar is the outdoor dining area where you can embrace the soothing fresh air and greens. The simple and cosy sofa sets encourages some relaxing and resting moments while enjoying the afternoon tea and a drink with the city’s night vibe.
The designer adopted a contemporary approach in the design while infusing the space with exotic vibes and natural elements of Thailand and through with a refined design and meticulous spatial planning. Mango Tree expresses the charm of Thailand, gathering friends and families to experience the charming and relaxing ambience of the restaurant.
