On 24th June, the IP strategy seminar and opening ceremony of Cantonese cuisine documentary “Cantonese Cuisine Master” was held at Shenzhen Media Group in Shenzhen. The documentary is scheduled to air at 21:30 on Saturday, 27th June and every Saturday afterwards. It aims to show Cantonese cuisine by depicting Cantonese cuisine and cultural scenes, and portraying the characters of Cantonese cuisine masters.
Under the impact of the epidemic in the first half of this year, all walks of life are facing many challenges. Guangdong is actively promoting the resumption of work and the building of the Greater Bay Area, which fully embodies the spirit of Guangdong’s pioneering spirit and innovation; Under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Longkom Media, Shenzhen Media Group and HualuBaina Film & TV jointly produced the Cantonese cultural documentary – “Cantonese Cuisine Master”.
As a platform for the “Cantonese Cuisine Master” project, the documentary tapes on the folk masters to increase the exposure of Cantonese cuisine restaurants and help them to restore business through collective star-rating and star-tasting. On 1st April,the documentary made a “Develop Cantonese Cuisine, Culture First” call at the Canton Tower and launched the “1110” project, that is, 1 “Cantonese Cuisine Master” IP Ecological Industry Community + 1 “Cantonese Cuisine Master” program + ten moves for the healthy development of Cantonese cuisine after the epidemic (referred to as “Ten Moves”).
The “The Moves” is guided by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Longkom Media and Shenzhen Media Group jointly released the ten moves on promoting the healthy development of Cantonese cuisine after the epidemic. Among the ten moves, there are industry development guidelines such as “to promote the IP development of ‘Cantonese Cuisine Master’” and “to advocate healthy catering”, it also proposed a series of practical measures for specific implementation, including: “prime time on Shenzhen TV to build a special Cantonese cuisine promotion platform”.
To boost the entire chain of Cantonese cuisine industry and help Guangdong’s economic recovery after the epidemic, the “Cantonese Cuisine Master” IP eco-industrial community gathers strength from leading brands, including Wens Foodstuff Group, Yuanhang Wine Group, Guangzhou Restaurant, Tao Tao Ju and investor supports.
Zhang Zheng, Party Committee Secretary and Executive Director of Shenzhen Media Group, said that in addition to creating high-quality content, Shenzhen TV will also use the platform power and traffic resources to actively build the IP matrix of “Cantonese Cuisine Master”. Lu Changzhi, CEO of Longkom Media, said in his speech that he will actively promote the cultural symbol of “Cantonese Cuisine Master” and the prosperity of service industry in Guangdong.
On 1st April, “Cantonese Cuisine Master” has joined hands with Wens Foodstuff Group, Yuanhang Wine Group, Guangzhou Restaurant, Tao Tao Ju to build the “Cantonese Cuisine Master” IP ecological industry community. At this IP strategy seminar and opening ceremony of the documentary, the leading companies have also achieved a new situation of co-creation of content, sharing of resources, and win-win in industry cooperation.
The documentary production company Longkom Media, announced that the opening ceremony is the first step to symbolize the culture of “Cantonese Cuisine Master”. In the future, the “Cantonese Cuisine Master” IP, as a new strength, will also provide more help to promote the development of Cantonese cuisine industry.
